Ariel just joined girl scouts troop 647.  She had to dress in red, yellow or black for the country of Belgium.  She attended the Girls Scout World Thinking day, where she learned about different countries.

First snow!

Here is Hunt carving his pumpkin.  Its a cyclops.  Yesterday, I picked up a shirt that I thought said, "mummy boy". After looking at it with Hunt I realized it said, "mummy's boy". No way was he going to wear that shirt to middle school.  He IS still mummy's boy, though.  Right?

Done and done!!! My friends April and Kamdon inspired me to do my own bed pillows.  3 euros, a rectangle pillow, and the little accent piece at the bottom all sewn with my two little hands in one afternoon!  Yea!!!

Hunter had "dress up as your hero" day at school.  Guess who is his hero?  Notice the cool helmet bag being used as his back pack-his idea.  Sad thing is, the suit is not that big on him at age 10...almost 11!

Hunter's Glider ride

Ahh...Hawaii.  Can't you just feel the warm sun on your skin?  Well, if you live in Alaska that is what you are craving this time of year.  We just returned from a much needed break from the winter and Hawaii was just the cure.  As you can see from the pictures we experienced some unforgettable moments.  It was wonderful to experience these things with each other especially before Chad had to head to Japan for an extended deployment.

When Chad asked Hunter if he would like to take a glider ride over the North Shore, Hunt didn't hesitate for a moment before he said, yes!

Ariel's favorite part of the trip..and our, too.   Being in a lagoon with no less than 6 giant Green Sea Turtles.  Ask Ariel about Lucky.

I know amazing, right?  From sea turtles to monk seals.  This big guy is we woke to on Thursday morning of our trip.  He was on the beach right outside our hotel.  He eventually flopped back in.

We enjoyed our last Hawaiian sunset before we left on Friday.
