Chad was at Red Flag for two weeks, but as it looked like it was turning into 4 weeks, the kids and I decided to jump on a plane and jet to Vegas to see him! We had so much fun and it was nice to get "outside." Although, from AK, you don't just jump on a plane and jet anywhere! We actually flew all night. But it was worth it. We visited Red rock as seen in the pitcures above with the kiddos. Next we went to the Springs Preserve; a 180 acre park in the middle of town. It is known as the birth place of Vegas and use to be home to bubbling springs that sustained Native Americans thousands of years ago.
