Halloween in Alaska is cold...

...but fun with friends and family! Hunter and Ariel really wanted to have a Halloween party so we could make treats that Hunter found in a cookbook. We had our neighbors over with their 3 boys and friends from Texas (that now live here, too) with their 2 cuties, too! We had stew, crafts and semi-healthy treats and we were on our way to brave the cold.. It was around 20 degrees! The kids didn't mind. Well, we made it ALMOST the whole block and our neighbors went back to get the car. Not to worry, we had plenty of candy by this time. We went back to our house for a little apple cider and of course candy. We had a cheetah kitty, a snow queen, storm trooper, obi wan, a ninja, and Jeff Gordon

The Feuchts...I found this random "bulldog" costume on craigslist. Not to pass on a good deal I snatched it up. It was quite large (I had my ski coat on under it)...but it WAS $10! Not pictured: Trooper as Yoda!

Fun was had by all! We are so thankful for the friends we have made here!
